Responsive websites that change to fit on any mobile device are now the expectation, rather than the exception for Accommodation Providers. If you don’t have one, you will be left behind in 2015. That’s the clear message from Accommodation Providers that have switched from a traditional website to Responsive ones designed by STAAH.

Troy Clarry, from Whangaparaoa Lodge(www.whangaparaoalodge.co.nz) agrees that STAAH’s responsive websites are the only way to go forward after having changed from a traditional one.

“It works to keep people and also turns them into bookings. About 50% of users are accessing our site on mobile devices; we needed a website that can cater for both – not making changes to both whenever we updated the site. The change enabled us to get this done in one shot,” says Clarry.

Lee-Ann McBride at Accolade Lodge (www.accoladerotorua.co.nz) reports that their bookings increased almost immediately as well. She believes a Responsive website “...needs to catch them (guests) in the first few minutes.”

Other positive spin-offs according to Nigel Clarke at Titore Lodge (www.titorelodge.co.nz) are that a Responsive Website empowers the customer... “The client is aware of all the facts when making a reservation in terms of availability, rates, terms and conditions. The immediate response to the reservation gives the client far more confidence.” Nigel Clarke committed to Titore Lodge’s new Responsive Website coming from a background as a Director of Sales and Marketing for several hotels in New Zealand and Europe.
Jo Bruce, from Wanaka Hotel (www.wanakahotel.co.nz)  agrees about the importance of having an accessible Website for customers to go to: “It is very important to have a responsive website; people are on the move and are using their various devices while travelling to book accommodation, they want to be able to book instantly.  You need to make this as easy as possible for them; if not, they can easily find a more compatible website to use.”

Grant Andrew, from Bream Bay Lodge, (www.breambaylodge.co.nz) is  pleased about the customer feedback  which is coming from switching to a Responsive Website: “We continue to receive great comments from guests about the ease of both searching and booking using the new website via its DPS payment gateway and instant online reservation confirmation. In addition our STAAH Channel Manager provides instant updates internationally to affiliated booking engines.”
STAAH’S Head Of Sales Edwin Saldanha is rapt with the response being received by his clients:  “Properties have seen an increase in their direct bookings and subsequently their revenues as a result of switching from traditional websites to Responsive Websites.”
