Raglan-based Aeronavics are pleased to announce the appointment of a new Chief Operating Officer, Jon Fletcher.
The announcement was confirmed today by Aeronavics Chairman Mr Martin Riegel.
Starting in his new position with Aeronavics on August 3, Mr Fletcher is an experienced senior executive having worked in the United Kingdom, New Zealand, Australia and India.
Mr Fletcher has worked in several Industries including steel, construction, aluminium extrusion and for the past 14 years in the energy cables sector. Jon’s roles have included process engineering, project management, production management, operations management and presently as a Senior VP looking after 3 manufacturing sites and export business development. “Success has been achieved in all due to his skills in the common areas of people and process” says Linda Bulk, General Manager of Aeronavics.
His operational excellence skill-set is a blend of six sigma, theory of constraints and TPM which focuses on safety, asset condition and standardised work practices. “We are very excited to welcome him to the team to scale up our manufacturing and delivery capability,” says Linda.
“Mr Fletcher has had P+L responsibilities for the last 10 years and has strong skills particularly in developing top line, bottom line and improving working capital positions” adds Martin.
Mr Fletcher is a mechanical engineer (BEng Hons - UK) with an MBA from Massey NZ and strong strategically, financially, technically and inter-personally. He had initially completed a craftsman apprenticeship with British Steel after leaving school and believes that this, together with his tertiary qualifications, give him unique qualities to truly communicate from the shop-floor to the board level.
