King of S.K.A.T.E 2009

Your majesty has called? Yeah right, and that for a kick-ass round of S.K.A.T.E! Soon, it’s time again, on Mai 11th the second edition of the worldwide first online Game of S.K.A.T.E will start. Anybody who names a skateboard his own, who has leased a skateboard or who has even stolen a skateboard accidentally is asked to participate in this unique „Skateboard Show“. Every week one entrant of this “Round Table of Skateboarding” shows a trick you have to copy, film and upload to the www.king-of-skate.com platform within seven days.

915 claimants to the throne from more than 12 nations fought last year for the crown, 2.500,- EUR and weekly skate-stuff packages. Herwig “Herbie” König assured finally the title in a haunting battle against Matthias Frei with an almost unbelievable trick bombardment.

In 2009 too, it’s all about skills, cash, prestige and of course a whole lotta big big fun. Once again Europe´s skateboard wunderkind and legendary Chris Cole S.K.A.T.E conqueror – Alex Mizurov – will show you together with his top-class homeboys the tricks you will have to copy. As a special appeal you have the chance to win some precious prizes and take them home with you, if the crowd judges your trick as the best. Just like last year the winner of the King of S.K.A.T.E competition will be determined in a decisive final. This year there is no lovely virgin for you to win but a fabulous amount of 2.500,- EUR cash, worldwide media coverage at all King of S.K.A.T.E media partners and this means more telephone numbers than your cell phone can save. RULES

1. A new trick is presented by a top skater every Monday and should be copied by you.

2. You have seven days to copy, film, and upload the trick on www.king-of-skate.com . An upload countdown on www.king-of-skate.com will announce the time left.

3. All tricks must be done on flat ground.

4. Redoing the trick of the week successfully will lift you to the next round.

5. As soon as you don't upload the trick within seven days or the trick is not clearly visible or not landed properly (hand or foot touches the ground, no clean rolling away), you will receive a capital letter (S, K, A, T, E).

6. If that happens to you five times and you complete the word S.K.A.T.E, you will be dropped out of the competition.

7. To become the only King of S.K.A.T.E, you have to be better than all other competitors and be the last competitor left.

8. If there is no winner determined after 20 regular rounds, we will induce an official final.

9. You are welcome to enter the competition until the fifth week, but you will get a letter for every so far completed trick of a week. So if you are late and you enter the battle in the third week, there will already be two completed tricks. Therefore you receive the letters S and K, but you still have the chance to become the King of S.K.A.T.E and win 2.500,- EUR cash + global coverage with all our media partners worldwide.

10. The weekly given prize is yours, if you get the highest rating for your perfectly redone trick. The upload closure always is on Sunday evening. Furthermore you will be mentioned as winner of the week in all our media partner’s news.

11. The landed tricks can be rated without exception by all registered BESTTRICK-users. It doesn't matter whether they are entering the competition or not.

12. The voting for the tricks ends up with the upload-closure every Sunday evening. To increase your chance of many votes and a high rating, you should upload your trick as soon as possible every week.

13. To take part in the competition you need an own BESTTRICK-Account.

14. All uploaded tricks must be done by you personally.

15. Already uploaded tricks at BESTTRICK.COM will not be accepted. Please don't fool anyone and copy your tricks as best as you can.

16. The decision if a trick is landed or not is exclusively made by our unbiased judges. Their judgment is correct and final.

17. If you are violating these rules you will be disqualified.

18. There is no legal recourse.
