Aardwolfs Thunder Team takes out the Hockey Final.

The Aardwolfs Ice Hockey Club’s A Grade Thunder, team takes out the 2008-2009 season with a thrilling final. The Thunder team came out and scored early, they ended the first period with a commanding lead of 3 goals. The Rangers Team came back to tie it up at 3 all by the end of the third period. Overtime with sudden death (first goal wins) was hard and fast, but no goal was scored. The decider was a penalty shoot-out by the top players from each team to sort the Leagues grand final winner for the season. After three players each, the Aardwolfs were one goal up when player Ted Howard scored the winning goal with a back hand shot to the top corner of the net. The Aardwolfs Team poured on to the ice to celebrate. The close game was a fitting finish to the end of a great Senior Non Checking Ice Hockey 2008-2009 Season.
