Appeal for witnesses to motorway crash

The North-Western motorway westbound is closed between Waterview and Te Atatu [10.30pm Saturday 24 July 2010].

Apart frrom the deceased, two other motorists have been transported to Hospital in Status 2 condition.

Sergeant Stu Kearns : 'We're appealing for any witnessses who saw a green 4 door Mitsubishi Galant car travelling east in the westbound lane before the crash occurred, to contact the Waitemata Serious Crash Unit on 481.0300'

The Serious Crash Unit is conducting the crash investigation and any further releases will be made through their office.
