Car crash ruptures high pressure gas line

5.15pm - A high pressure gas line has been ruptured, due to a two-car crash at the intersection of Roscommon Rd and Browns Rd intersection.

Emergency Services and the Gas Company are on scene

The immediate area has been evacuated and road blocks are in place at: Roscommon/Wiri Station ; Browns/Rowendale; and
Roscommon/Burbank Roads

All motorists and the general public are requested to stay away from this location until the scene is confirmed safe

6.10pm - All roads around the Roscommon Road gas leak scene are now open and residents have been permitted to return home.
