Police need help to find sexual attacker in New Plymouth

A 42 year old woman was seriously attacked in a obvious sexual motivated attack in the early hours of Boxing Day morning near the Kawaroa pools complex in New Plymouth.

The woman was admited to hospital with extensive wounds and was lucky to escape her attacker a reporter for infonews.co.nz reported.

The man was described to be a young caucasion with light coloured hair, tall and also had a deep voice.

'The man was very violent' said a report.

If you know the man, or think you see the man don't confront him he could be dangerous, instead call 111 immidetly. 

Police would like to hear from anyone in the neighbouring area's to come forward with any infomation about the disturbances.

If walking at night or in the early hours of the morning be very careful and do not be alone.

Avoid walking threw any unlit area's.

A man has told infonews.co.nz in a report that the New Plymouth District Council should spend more effort and funds on lighting the walkways, and streets instead of using 'silly things'.
