Leaking water main fixed by council staff - reports

A severe leaking water main on New Plymouth's one way near Dawson Street in the photo above has been fixed says resident of New Plymouth Danyon Roguski.

Delays on the road have now cleared up since the fixing of the water main which caused delays to be exsessive.

The leak was causing water to spill out over the road in 'large ammounts' passing threw New Plymouth's busiest one way system. 

In the photo above show's the water hydrant which was exploding water from its man hole.

Staff from the New Plymouth council fixed the problem by 9.45pm.

Police are warning residents to take care on the roads these school holidays.
