Rangipo Prison riot: "3 prisoners on roof"

BREAKING NEWS: There have been several reports of a riot at the Tongariro Rangipo Prison at the Hautu Unit.

3 prisioners are on the roof of the prision.

We have just been told as of 7.51pm that ambulance and fire services have been notified of the incident however it is unclear if they are at the scene.

Given its extreme size, it is not possible to surround the Tongariro/Rangipo Prison site with razor wire fencing but units within the prison grounds are appropriately fenced and secure.
