Teen hit by car in Auckland

A teenager is fighting for his life after he was struck by a car in an Auckland suburb yesterday evening.

The male boy was struck by the vehicle while crossing Dominion Road in Mount Eden.

The police are searching for the vehicle as the car never stopped.

The Serious Crash Unit has done a scene examination and the road was closed with diversions in place.

The boy was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
