Hydroflow Opens Office In Melbourne, Australia

On the back of its success and emerging business growth in New Zealand, privately-owned Hydroflow is pleased to announce today the opening of its new Melbourne office.

This marks the company’s first expansion move across the Tasman and co-incides with its position as distributor of the Watts product range in Australia.

The Melbourne office of Hydroflow will open on May 27 and its general manager will be Gennaro Sposato who was formerly the head of Victaulic Australia. The office’s operations manager will be Ken Ball, who formerly with Fluidflo.

Founded in Auckland, New Zealand, in 1985, Hydroflow initially specialised in servicing pump shops and milking machine companies with predominantly rural water regulating products.

Nowadays Hydroflow operates from purpose warehousing and distributing facilities in Auckland and Christchurch and has 16 specialist representatives servicing customers throughout New Zealand and a total of more than 50 staff.

Managing director Ken Breckon said with its solid foundation in the North and South Island market segments of New Zealand it was a natural progression for Hydroflow to expand into the Australian market.

“Our primary focus at the commencement will be on the Watts product range, distributing throughout all states in Australia.  Initially, it will be slowly as we go, with a small office and warehouse in central Melbourne and with the intention to expand as business allows,” Mr Breckon said.

“This is a very important and exciting new phase in the development of Hydroflow as it becomes a truly trans-tasman operation,” Breckon said.

“Melbourne will provide a vibrant business base for us to grow our company into the Australian market,” Breckon said.
