Armed standoff in Auckland ends

BREAKING NEWS: One person is in police custody this afternoon after an armed police shootoff between a member of public and armed police.
The arrested person, was a male who is 49 years old, no further details have been released,
Shots were fired this afternoon and cordons were set up in the area of Awaruku Road in the suburb of Torbay and the whole area is still in a complete lockdown.
Police have confirmed no members of the public have been injuried at this stage however ambulances are reportedly rushing to the scene.
Cordons are in place on surrounding roads and both traffic and pedestrians are still unable to enter the area.
