Golden Run Of Success For Kilgravin Lodge

The win by Snippechee at Ruakaka on Saturday has enhanced an amazing run of success for Matamata-based Kilgravin Lodge.

In the past 12 months Kilgravin Lodge has been represented by key winners on the racetracks of New Zealand, Australia and in Asia.

New Zealand Group 1 winners last season for Kilgravin Lodge were Sangster and Viadana.
Sangster won twice at Group 1 level last season in the Auckland Cup and Darci Brahma International Stakes.

Viadana provided her connections with a memorable Group 1 victory in the time-honoured Easter Handicap (1600m) at Ellerslie last season.

“Group 1 races are the pinnacle of racing and to be represented by two Group 1 winners last season was a great highlight for us,” said Eion Kemp of Kilgravin Lodge.

Also flying the flag for Kilgravin Lodge at the highest level of racing in Singapore was Ronnie Brown who has stamped himself as one of the finest gallopers in Singapore in recent seasons. In May he was successful in the Kranji Stakes.

Other well-performed gallopers in Singapore who are graduates of the Kilgravin Lodge operation include Perfect Plan, Oriental Peral, Cavallo and Little Bit Fierce.

In Macau, the Kilgravin brand has been highlighted by the likes of Wealthy Fortune, Classical Music, Top Vegetable and Sunshine Kingdom.

Other New Zealand winners in recent times have included Natsinga, Mister Ip, Seed Of Speed, Cangowest, Sharakti and Grand National Hurdles winner Mahanadi.
