Queenstown and Wanaka property management agency Housemart is heading to a black tie awards dinner in Auckland early next month to defend national titles it has held for the past year.

Housemart Queenstown & Wanaka has four staff members named finalists in two categories of the 2013 Property Management Awards. It has also been named a finalist in the NZ Agency of the Year category, defending its current title.

In last year’s competition it won three awards and also came runner-up in one category.

Queenstown-based Property Manager Katrina Roberts will defend her Property Manager of the Year title on October 5, up against her Wanaka colleague Colleen Topping who is a finalist in the same category and was runner-up last year.

Wanaka-based Andrea Bono is defending her Support Person of the Year title, also up against her Queenstown-based colleague Liz Jeffrey who is a first-time finalist in the same category.

Housemart director Hayley Stevenson said the company was “absolutely delighted” to have so many staff in the finals and to once again be picked to compete for the prestigious Agency of the Year title.

“It’s an amazing effort by all concerned which once again puts our relatively small company up against some of the biggest names in the business at the awards ceremony on Saturday night.

“We’re absolutely thrilled for everyone who works with the company, for our clients, our tradespeople, for the tenants who recommend us and families associated with Housemart.

“To be where we are, two years in a row, demonstrates that we continue to grow our business and develop the systems we have in place to the very highest standards.

“We operate from small offices in Queenstown and Wanaka, so for a company that’s relatively young and new this is a huge achievement for the team.”

Housemart launched in Wanaka in 2010 with the Queenstown branch opening in Terrace Junction later that year. The company is highly systemised and offers a premium customer experience, with rental property portfolios exclusive to Wanaka and Queenstown.

Ms Stevenson said the company’s proven integrity and standards has been paramount in growing the business despite increased competition in the local market.
