A new on-line app has hit the Hamilton and New Zealand ecommerce shopping world – which allows Online Facebook Shopping.
Developed by Hamilton-based MediaPA, it allows customers to shop on a businesses’  Facebook page in an easy-to-use manner.
Waikato Hairdressers, The Engine Room are the first to utilise the app. They are leaders in the beauty and fashion industry by offering their products which are now being sold online through their popular Facebook page.
“We all know that Facebook is great way to increase social engagement with your customers and their friends. It’s a great way to keep loyal customers updated with your latest sales and products, as well as a valuable sales channel,” says business co-owner Kaleb Phillipe.
“More and more people are becoming comfortable at shopping on line and to be able to do that through Facebook is likely to start a new trend,” he said. “The support systems such as couriers and payment systems are there now to make it easier for us to do that.”
Last year, the Engine Room enlisted the help of Social Media and Public Relations experts, MediaPA to set up their online social media presence in a totally professional manner.  That include Facebook, Youtube, Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram and Google Plus.

Recently The Engine Room teamed up with MediaPA to help bring the store online.  “We have a great range of products that will suit all hair types, so it’s really exciting to be able to put these products for sale on our Facebook page,” says Kaleb.
MediaPA installs an app that allows you to transact within your existing Facebook presence. It features an online catalogue application that organizes The Engine Room’s brilliant range of products all in one place. It has an integrated e-commerce platform that includes extensions to include Facebook e-commerce.

By having customers being able to purchase from The Engine Room Facebook page, it decreases hassle for customers, so they don’t have to be taken to another website. This seamless experience results in better conversions and happier customers.

Like/share buttons now allow customers to show their friends products in The Engine Room store that they might be interested in buying. Nobody knows your prospective customers as well as their friends, so having like and share buttons can give you a boost to sales generation.
