Expert Auckland Sewing Coach Marlene Kuba plans to bring sewing back to a lost generation.

Sewing may not be front of mind of a twenty-something year old these days, but it’s an invaluable skill set that should be learned and has many great advantages.

Marlene ‘The Sewing Coach’ Kuba wants to share her tried and tested sewing techniques with today’s younger generation.

Marlene Kuba has a wealth of experience with 49 years of sewing and 35 years of teaching experience. She successfully conducted sewing schools both in South Africa and in New Zealand.

Marlene recently made the move online to promote her skills to the tech-savvy and socially minded generation and has engaged award-winning Social Media and Public Relations Company, MediaPA, to set up The Sewing Coach Facebook Page as well as her YouTube, Pinterest and Twitter social media platforms.

Marlene has utilised internet-based marketing and video to capture the attention of national and international sewing and pattern enthusiasts.

Through The Sewing Coach website you can buy detailed step-by-step videoed lessons, which are much easier than trying to learn by reading an instruction-sewing book or attending classes where you are showed the lesson only once.  You can simply buy the lessons you need as you need them, and watch them as often as you wish. By passing on her love and knowledge of sewing and pattern drafting Marlene hopes to reach and create a brand new generation of sewing and pattern drafters.  It’s a mission which has taken on a global vision.
