New Zealand Cyclist Katie Schofield scores a major triumph at the World Series of Bicycling.

Leading New Zealand cyclist Katie Schofield has come out on top at the World Series of Bicycling at the Valley Preferred Cycling Centre in Trexlertown, United States, much to the delight of one of her sponsors, Aspen Manor Motel in Hamilton East.

Katie Schofield put on an extraordinary performance on the last lap to win the women's 2km scratch race, a week before her return to New Zealand.

Katie has been travelling with the New Zealand sprint team in the United States for 10 weeks to get in a very big block of training and racing. This is an important time of the year for Katie as she needs to get qualification points to be eligible to race in the World Cup later this year.
