One of New Zealand’s best known travel brands has taken out the top industry award for the third year in a row.

House of Travel won Best Retail Brand at the TAANZ National Travel Industry Awards, which acknowledges excellence in the sector across brand, location, individuals and brokers.

The Kiwi owned and operated company won five awards and was a finalist in all of the nine categories entered, taking home awards for retail outlets and consultants from all over the country.

Clare Jackson of House of Travel Newmarket won the award for Best Agency Manager Retail, while Judy Harkness of Calder & Lawson House of Travel was named Best Travel Consultant Retail. Orbit Wellington and House of Travel Northlands took home awards for Best Brand Corporate Single Location and Best Brand Retail Single Location respectively.

House of Travel CEO Mark O’Donnell says he is delighted House of Travel has continued to maintain relevance and provide a benchmark in service standards for the rest of the industry.

“In the travel industry we are experiencing a period of rapid change and growth. As a business, it is crucial to constantly re-evaluate our position in the industry and stay at the forefront of change. It’s really gratifying to see our work in this field recognised at the highest level,” he says.

“At House of Travel we are passionate about designing life-changing travel experiences for Kiwis, leveraging decades of knowledge built up by hundreds of dedicated travel consultants. Combined with strong relationships with our customers and a collaborative approach to planning travel, we provide a travel experience that is so much more than a simple transaction.”
