Award-winning Paihia Beach Resort and Spa donates accommodation voucher to the Prostate Cancer Foundation of New Zealand in an act of Social-Giving.

IN AN act of Social-Giving award winning Paihia Beach Resort and Spa Hotel has gifted an accommodation voucher to the Prostate Cancer Foundation of New Zealand for their fundraising event, in conjunction with the Masters of Rugby League New Zealand’s international tournament for 2015.

Social-Giving is a concept Media PA encourages all its clients to get involved in and is all a part of Media PA philosophy of giving back to the community.

In New Zealand prostate cancer is the most common cause of cancer in men, there are around 3,000 registrations each year and about 600 deaths from prostate cancer each year.

“It is really important for us to give back to the community,” says Lyndsey Morrison, Manager of Paihia Beach Resort and Spa. “Cancer is something that effects many and we really want to get behind that,” Lyndsey adds.

The voucher, which is going towards Prostate Cancer New Zealand’s event will fundraise money for the Masters of Ruby League New Zealand’s International Tournament for 2015.

The Masters of Rugby League International Tournament will be held in Auckland from the 12th of September through till the 18th. The tournament promotes fun football for over 35’s that no longer take part in serious competition and draws players up to 70 years old.

“We are really pleased to be helping out the Prostate Cancer Foundation of New Zealand and hope to continue working with and supporting them in the future,” says Lyndsey.
