Atsala Apartments Stay Review

My name is Trish and I am a travel enthusiast currently enjoying travelling the world and New Zealand. My recent Rotorua trip to watch the Nduro Winter Classic final event saw myself, my partner Michael and George Gwynn (a participant in the event) chose Atsala Apartments for our accommodation. Ian the owner was very welcoming and accommodating.

We had the Redwoods room, which had one master bedroom and another with two single beds. The apartment also had a well equipped kitchen, lounge, dining area, bathroom, outdoor eating area and off street parking.

The master bedroom was spacious and perfect for a couple, the bed was amazingly comfortable and with the quiet location we had a really good nights sleep.

The apartment came with all amenities needed for cooking. There was complimentary shampoo and soap in the bathroom. There were extra blankets throughout the apartment in case of the cold however we made use of the heat pump within the room, which kept us warm. Continental breakfast provisions were provided which we made good use of.

Atsala Apartments would be great for groups visiting Rotorua with rooms that can fit up to six people at a time, larger groups can book more than one apartment.

The apartments are located at 27a Sala Street Rotorua putting it in prime location for places such as the Redwoods which is merely two minutes away, Rotorua Golf Course less than one kilometre up the road and Te Puia Geothermal Valley only a one minute drive away.

Being slightly out of town meant that we had almost no outside noise when in our hotel room which was nice and peaceful. We were not too far off the beaten track however with only a five minute drive between us and central Rotorua attractions such as Eat Streat which has a large array of bars and restaurants often with live music at night.

Atsala Apartments is ideal accommodation for mountain bikers visiting Rotorua to ride on the master craft trails in the Redwoods. Guests have access to secure facilities to keep their bikes locked up during their stay. There are also areas for mountain bikers to wash their bikes after a day on the tracks. Atsala was great for us as it was just a short drive to the Nduro Winter Series event that George was competing at so there was no rush to get organised in the morning.

I would return to Atsala Apartments for its great location again.
