Argent Motor Lodge Review

It is unmistakably obvious as to why Argent Motor Lodge in Hamilton is rated number one on Trip Advisor out of 63 motels in Hamilton. From the moment you arrive at the front desk you are welcomed with a friendly smile and conversation.
I was greeted by operations manager Leah Lindsay and owner Graeme Hunt who were both warm and receiving from the get go. I later met some of the cleaning staff who were an absolute joy to be around and couldn’t do enough to make my stay as well as other guests as perfect as it could possibly be. The whole team has a real passion for what they are doing and they genuinely care about your stay.
My partner and I stayed in the Studio King Apartment and it was a wonderful stay. The room was open and spacious, it included a plush king bed, 2-seater sofa, large desk/workstation with 32" wall mounted LCD TV above, a fully equipped kitchen and a beautiful fully tiled en-suite bathroom. The apartment had good natural lighting and was nicely decorated. The bathroom was open plan and had a glorious deep bath as well as a modern open shower.
The fully equipped kitchen would come in very handy for anyone staying either for one night or over a period of time as it supplied everything needed for cooking a meal during your stay. The desk and work station area would mean that people staying for business or travelling students as there is plenty of space to get work done.
Each room also comes with free Wifi so you can stay connected during your stay. Both the TVs in the room had Sky Guest Select so we had 50+ channels to choose from in our down time.
We had a great sleep during our stay at the Argent. Potential guests may be wary of the fact that Argent Motor Lodge is on a main road. However, the sound- proof technology in each room means you won’t even notice it. The room if also fitted with full blackout blinds so you can enjoy your sleep at any time of the day or night. The BioXcell system in the beds king bed is another will ensure couples a great night’s sleep with no partner disturbance throughout the night.
The room was fit with and air conditioning unit so you could pick your ideal temperature. The double glazing and insulation meant our room was naturally warm.
Argent is in a great location they are in extremely close proximity to both Waikato and Braemar Hospitals. They also have both hospitals on speed dial on the phone in the room which would be a comfort to families who have a relative in hospital as they can pick up the phone at any time to check how they are doing. Both hospitals are within walking distance from the Argent Motor Lodge so if you wanted to make use of their off street parking and walk to the hospital you can do so.
We went out for dinner the night we stayed at Argent and the CBD is just a five minute drive from the motel. The CBD has a large array of restaurant, bars and cafes to choose from so whether you need a place to eat or meet with clients or friends you can be there quickly from Argent. Argent is also in close proximity to the Hamilton Gardens, Seddon Park, Waikato Stadium, Mystery Creek and other Hamilton landmarks. Argent a great base for those travelling to places around the Waikato such as Hobbiton and the Waitomo Caves.
Argent Motor Lodge is a motel that looks like a hotel and feels like home. I would recommend Argent to anyone coming to stay in Hamilton and would stay there again in a heartbeat!
