Hamilton-based John Griffin Realty gets involved with social giving and announces sponsorship of Hamilton Group Riding for the Disabled.

IN AN act of Social Giving Hamilton-based motel broker John Griffin Realty has announced its sponsorship of Hamilton Group Riding for the Disabled.
Social Giving is a MediaPA initiative encouraging businesses the opportunity to give back to their community and make a difference.
Hamilton Group Riding for the Disabled is a voluntary, not-for-profit organisation which provides opportunities for anyone with a disability to enjoy safe, healthy, stimulating, therapeutic horse riding and horse-related activities in the Waikato.
Riding For The Disabled does not receive any Government funding therefore they have to rely on a small amount from rider’s fees, donations, grants and fundraising.
After some changes at their riding facilities Hamilton Group Riding for the Disabled has now become responsible for all costs associated with their horses which involves finding an additional $50,000 per year funding. This means sponsorships such as the one John Griffin Realty has committed to are extremely important for the group to be able to maintain the programme.
“We are delighted to be sponsoring Hamilton Group Riding for the Disabled,” says John Griffin. “They are a truly worthy group who do really great work in our community,” adds John.
Hamilton Group Riding for the Disabled is a very active group that operates their RDA four mornings a week and ride approximately 100 riders each week. Hamilton North School has horse riding as a curriculum subject and pupils attend the Hamilton group’s programme for this.
Current funding requirements for the Hamilton-based charity are to operate their programme and to raise funds for the volunteer room building. This building will allow the group to enhance the experience of their volunteers by enabling them to have morning tea indoors, training sessions will be held there and private conversations could be held there when the coach requires it.
