Affogato Review at Momento City

For anyone who is in the know, it is clear that the best coffee in Hamilton can be found on the corner of Hood and Victoria Streets.

And word on the street is that there is a new coffee on the menu at the popular café, Momento City and it’s called the Affogato.

In a correctly made Affogato, there are only two ingredients -  ice cream and a shot of espresso. The combination is an intense play on temperature and texture. The hot, bitter Momento espresso shot melts the sweet vanilla ice cream and creates a golden crème-coloured pool of delectableness that awakens the taste buds and ensnares the senses.

It’s a match made in caffeine lovers heaven. Ideal for an afternoon pick me up or an after lunch treat, I would recommend the Affogato at Momento City to any caffeine addict that has a hint of a sweet tooth.

With chill music playing and personable staff, the chic and cool ambience of Momento City make it perfect for a  business meeting or a coffee date with friends.

The the smell of coffee fills the room with delicious aroma as soon as you step into this funky café. It’s hard to choose which coffee from their delicious  range to choose from, but this coffee addict recommends the Affogato without a second thought. It’s not often you get to have creamy vanilla ice cream at lunch, so I say go on and treat yourself to a Affogato at Momento City. It will be our little secret.
