Things are about to get a little bit sweeter at Hamilton Cafe Momento City, with top baker Ellie Linton-Brown joining the team.
Having worked in a top Auckland restaurant, Ellie is returning home to Momento City.
Baker by trade and a qualified chef, Ellie has been in the industry for 20 years and is bringing her wealth of experience to the massively popular Momento City Café.
Bringing a new variety to the food at Momento City is what Ellie says she is looking forward to the most. “Having in-house baking and a larger variety of options for our customers, it will be more than just chocolate and caramel slices,” says Ellie.
“I get huge satisfaction from baking muffins, scones, slices, cakes and just baking in general. And there are a lot of compliments coming in,” says Ellie.
Sweet Chili Cheese scones, Black Doris and white chocolate scones, Carrot Cake and Cheesecake all seem to be a huge hit with Momento Customers comments.
Ellie recommends that for people coming to Momento for a bite to eat to be totally adventurous. “We recommend people go out if their comfort zone and try something a little different or something they wouldn’t normally have,” says Ellie.
“It’s my passion and I really pride myself on what I do for the customers,” adds Ellie.
Sitting in an easy to find location on the corner of Victoria and Hood streets, Momento City is ideal for regulars and visitors to Hamilton. Momento City have a delectable food and beverage menu that will have something for everyone, including gluten free options.
