“I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again,” says Emily Hunt.  “buying a home can be a daunting experience, even terrifying for some people – but it doesn’t have to be that way.”

Emily, an agent at Lodge Real Estate in Hamilton’s Dinsdale office, knows buying a home, especially your first one, is a serious responsibility.  She has recently bought her first home with her partner and says, although home buying should be taken seriously, it’s also something you should enjoy.

“It’s an exciting time,” she says.  “It’s a big commitment but you also have to enjoy the process.

Emily says a lot of stress can be eased by deciding exactly what type of home you’re looking for and then aligning yourself with an agent who can help you achieve that goal.

“If you want an agent to give you properties as soon as they come on the market they need to have a clear understanding of what you want,” she says.

Emily says modern home buyers have a number of options available to them, ranging from city apartments to townhouses to traditional family homes.  Every household has different needs so consider the options and then let your agent help you find what meets those needs and guide you through the process.

Emily says she’s always willing to help new home buyers make the path to their new home as smooth as possible.

“I totally get it,” she says.  “I totally understand buyers and I want them to get enjoyment from buying their home.  That’s what I’m here for.”
