Argent Motor Lodge Recommends the Hamilton Gardens

With approximately one million visitors each year, Hamilton Gardens is Waikato’s most visited tourist destination.
Now the Hamilton Gardens Development Project has plans to add four more themed gardens to the existing five garden collections and 21 themed gardens. The four new gardens will be the ‘Mansfield Garden’, ‘Surrealist Garden’, ‘Picturesque Garden’ and ‘Concept Garden’.
Graeme Hunt, owner of Argent Motor Lodge, says he is excited about the new development, as he is always keen to recommend his guests visit the Hamilton Gardens.
“Guests like the expanse, beauty and variety of the Gardens and the fact that they are free,” says Graeme. “The Gardens operate under sustainable management practice with a commitment to the environment and this is commented on by our guests. It gives me a sense of pride when telling guests this.”
Argent Motor Lodge is one of Hamilton’s most popular motels and the winner of TripAdvisor’s 2016 Travellers’ Choice™ Award for Hotels, the highest honor given by TripAdvisor.
Graeme Hunt and his team, including Operations Manager Leah Lindsay, have built a reputation for the cleanliness of their rooms and attention to their guests. Argent Motor Lodge is ranked Number One out of 63 motels in Hamilton on TripAdvisor’s website.
Hamilton Gardens is a five-minute drive or a 30-minute walk from Argent Motor Lodge.
“I am looking forward to the development of themed gardens,” says Graeme. “The Fantasy Collection gardens are destined to be very popular, for example the fictional garden of Katherine Mansfield and the Surrealist Garden.
“I believe these gardens have the potential to be a huge tourist attraction in Hamilton, says Graeme, “and the Fantasy Gardens will provide a point of difference and contrast to the traditional gardens.
“The new planned jetty, under the Italian Renaissance Garden, will better connect the central city with the gardens and will be awesome.”
The Hamilton Gardens currently have a selection of internationally-themed gardens, including the Chinese Scholar’s Garden, Japanese Garden of Contemplation and an English Flower Garden.
“With a wide variety of nationalities represented among guests at the motel,” says Graeme, “it’s nice to be able to explain the gardens from an international perspective”.
