Waikato’s SummerGlow Apiaries to Attend Beekeeping Conference

 

“Bee Business – Science : Health : Trade” is the subject of the 2016 New Zealand Apiculture Conference, being held at the Energy Events Centre in Rotorua from 19 to 21 June.

 

James Jeffery will be at the conference representing Waikato based Manuka Honey producers SummerGlow Apiaries.

 

“I expect to gain knowledge about the growing NZ Honey industry and how SummerGlow fits into the world honey market,” says Mr Jeffery, who is a co-owner and director at SummerGlow Apiaries, as well as being a past Waikato Branch vice-president of the National Beekeepers Association.

 

“With bees and beekeepers being at the heart of our business, the health of our bees is a top priority.  The conference speaking-list boasts a veritable feast of bee health scientists who have invaluable information to share.  We will use information from newly released science programmes to better care for our bees”.

 

The conference will give beekeepers and honey producers the opportunity to gather information and learn more about their industry.

 

It will include guest speakers, seminars, workshops and the largest trade exhibition ever assembled in the apiculture industry.
