Hamilton's Award Winning Motel Argent Motor Lodge is a Great Place to Work
Leah Lindsay, Operations Manager at Hamilton based motel Argent Motor Lodge, loves her job.
Leah, who has been at Argent Motor Lodge for three years, today told MediaPA why she loves all aspects of her position at the popular motel.
“I love the whole position of Motel Operations Manager, from organising corporate events and accommodation to giving a guest a cuddle when they've had a rough day at the hospital,” says Leah.
Argent Motor Lodge is the closest motel to Waikato and Braemar Hospitals, meaning they often have guests who are staying in Hamilton to attend the hospital or to support family members in hospital.
“That’s my favourite part,” says Leah, “comforting either the sick guests themselves or their family members and support people.
“I think in a position like mine, simply being myself is really important. Just to be genuine and open-hearted with all our Argent guests helps them find comfort and feel welcome. I find it extremely rewarding.”
When she’s not working at Argent Motor Lodge, Leah loves spending time with family and keeping fit.
“In my spare time I love watching my kids at kick-boxing and rugby, catching up with loved ones and working out,” says Leah.
“This weekend my daughter and I have entered the 'Tough Guy n Gal Challenge' so I am looking forward to that.”
Argent Motor Lodge is close to Hamilton’s City Centre, the Central Business District, Hamilton’s café and restaurant precinct, FMG Waikato Stadium and Seddon Park.
The award winning motel has been voted Number One Motel in Hamilton by Trip Advisor and won TripAdvisor’s Traveller’s Choice award for 2016.
