Oasis Engineering, a specialist CNG and product development company situated in the City of Tauranga, New Zealand, has recently released a solution for CNG couplers that suffer from ice build-up.

“Here at Oasis, we have many clients around the globe that live in climates that are subject to very cold temperatures,” says Vice President of Business Development USA and Canada, Ricky Lee.

These clients have CNG and Bio-Fuel systems that regularly suffer from ice build-up that mean the coupling needs to be defrosted before they can be disconnected.

As with many other clients’ problems, Oasis Engineering designed and developed a solution for this problem and solved the problem for their client.

The solution for this problem was the Ice Breaker cover which is designed for the HC308 Quick-Connect Coupler.

“This kind of customisation is what we specialise in here at Oasis Engineering,” says Lee.

Product development is something that the specialist engineers at Oasis enjoy most, the NGV industry requires specialisation, customisation and high build quality to ensure operational safety and reduced downtime.

Multiple award-winning Oasis Engineering has been exporting their CNG Ultra-fast fill components out of their Tauranga factory that offers their clients an increased flow-rate over others in the CNG industry.

“This is important to CNG users as fill time and repair downtime is costly to operational efficiency,” says Lee, “we offer components and products that fill faster and can be repaired on-site to provide our client with the ability to get on with the job at hand”.

Products like the ice-breaker cover are an example of Oasis Engineering working towards the goal of helping their clients achieve ultimate operational efficiency.

Oasis Engineering strive to bring solutions to their customers, in-full, in-specification and on-time.
