Serving up a range of quality sea food centric meals, at Fish Punk you can mix and match your fish with salads, sauces, fries and other side. “You can of course get the iconic kiwi fish and chips,” adds Grace. You can relax outside enjoying some fine Waikato weather on their giant bean bags with a locally sourced craft beer, or you can dine inside with a glass of fish wine. All fish is supplied and delivered daily by Lee Fisheries, so you know you are getting the freshest product.

Duck Island Ice Cream

Situated on sunny corner of Grey and Cook streets, Duck Island Ice Cream features a delicious range of ever changing eccentric and unique flavours you won’t find anywhere else. There are around 24 unique flavours to choose from, with about five dairy-free vegan options available. “At Duck Island there will always be something new to try,” advises Grace.

Grey Gardens

Nestled down an ally called Lovegrove Lane off Grey Street, is shabby chic café Grey Gardens. A perfect place from breakfast or lunch, Grey Gardens is a local favourite. Known for their great coffee and delicious scones, Grey Gardens café also runs an online shop which sells trinkets, second-hand and locally crafted goods.
