Road reduced to one lane

Last week’s downpour has resulted in subsidence to part of Kahuterawa Road near the recreational reserve.


As a result the road has been reduced to one lane in part. The City Council is asking everyone to take extreme case and is discouraging non essential users. Signage has been erected to advise motorists of the area where part of the road has fallen in to the Kahuterawa Stream.


Acting Roading Manager, Glenn Young, says the Council is carrying out emergency repairs and intends to have the two lanes restored by the end of the month.
