Franklin District Council, in partnership with their swimming pool contractor Community Leisure Management (CLM), has launched a new initiative for Community Service Card Holders. Card Holders can now visit the Franklin Sports Swim and Fitness (FSSF) indoor pool for only $2 during off-peak hours (Monday to Friday 1pm – 3pm).

You can get more information on the new price for Community Service Card Holders by visiting www.franklinsport.co.nz or phoning FSSF on (09) 238 5240.

“From university students to pensioners, there are many Franklin residents who benefit from this offer. The indoor pool is a facility for the whole community, the special $2, off-peak rate, for Community Service Card Holders helps ensure that stays a reality,” says Franklin District Council Mayor, Mark Ball.

The special price offer is a way Council can help contribute to the Franklin Community Outcomes outlined in the Franklin District Council Community Plan 2006-2016. Community Outcomes are things that the community believe are important for the future of the District, including having a safe, healthy and active community with recreational facilities that are accessible to all groups in the community.

Brochures about the new initiative are available at Franklin District Council offices and Libraries in Pukekohe, Waiuku and Tuakau, Work and Income New Zealand, Waiuku and Pukekohe i-site information centres and the Family Support Centre.
