Wrapping up a summer of live, free Kiwi music
Auckland City Council's Music in Parks programme gears up for a great finish to an exciting summer of live Kiwi music, with 12 free concerts during March.
Highlights of the month include:
Johnny Devlin and the Tornadoes, with special guest Ray Columbus performing at The Culture Garden at Tahaki Reserve, Mt Eden on Saturday, 15 March
The Culture Garden Tea Dances – midweek daytime concerts aimed at an older audience, complete with a dance floor – at Highwic, Newmarket on Wednesday, 19 March and
Monte Cecilia, Hillsborough on Wednesday, 26 March
the classic Kiwi film The World's Fastest Indian and pre-movie entertainment from Kink Rat as part of the new Movies in Parks series in Tahaki Reserve on Wednesday, 5 March
three great Holden Astra Summer Sounds concerts at Point England Reserve, Selwyn Reserve Mission Bay and Te Wero Island in the Viaduct Harbour
Drake Jazz at the Rotunda, this month featuring Roger Manins Hip Flask, The Blue Bottom Stompers, Jazz Campus and Mr Miyagi Project.
