To enable events in the city to run more effectively and efficiently, the DCC has designed an Event Management Plan.
The aim of the Plan is to provide a more succinct and systematic process for event organisers, especially those who are operating independently from the DCC.

Customers wanting to run an event in the city are often unaware of the regulatory parameters – like, in some cases, the need for permits and licenses to ensure the event is safe and enjoyable for the community.

In the past some events have not received all the required information to ensure regulations are adhered to. So too, are event organisers disadvantaged as they often miss out on free advice by expert DCC staff who know how to successfully set up and run an event.

The Plan enables a clear system to be followed whereby any enquiry about running an event is logged to ensure every component of running the event is met.

It also promotes communication, allowing for a shared knowledge and thus assisting in making events safer and more enjoyable for the community.
