Tony Ryall grills David Cunliffe in the House

 A spirited exchange during Question Time between National Party Health Spokesman Tony Ryall and the Minister of Health, David Cunliffe, over allegations of irregularities in the conduct of financial affairs by certain members of the Hawkes Bay DHB.

Mr Cunliffe stonewalls, saying again and again, he has no direct knowledge of a Director General's report on the matter even while advising the House that there are surprises in store for National when the report is released on 17 March. Mr Cunliffe further insists that his decision to sack the DHB board has nothing to do with the behaviour of any particular party but was predicated solely by the disfunctionality of the board, regardless of who might have been at fault or the specifics of the problems involved.
