By- election voting documents out this week

 Just over 4200 electors in the Kaikohe area will receive their voting documents for the Western Community Board (Kaikohe Subdivision) by-election this week.

The four candidates vying for the one position on the Board are:

Moira Moengaroa Floyed (Independent)

Shaun Reilly

John Schollum

Craig Zielinski

Any elector who believes they are eligible to vote but hasn't received a voting

document by Friday of next week (4 April) is advised to contact the electoral office for

a special vote - telephone 0800 922 822.

Completed voting documents can be returned by post, and must be received by 12

noon on Wednesday 23 April 2008. To assist voters, completed voting documents

can also be hand delivered to a ballot box at Council’s Main Office, Memorial

Avenue, Kaikohe, up until the close of voting.

Preliminary results will be available later in the afternoon.
