ASB continues North Island expansion and opens in Greerton

Central North Island is a great place to be, according to the bank that is One Step Ahead. ASB brought state of the art banking to Morrinsville on the 25 February, then again to Matamata on the 18 March; it opened a branch in Havelock North on 31 March and now it is opening in Greerton on 7 April. 

The phenomenal growth ASB has experienced over the past few years together with the current and future growth and the fantastic streetscape development for Greerton has prompted ASB to open its 138th branch at 1334 Cameron Road, Greerton.

“We know that while technology has come a long way, customers still want that personal touch,” says Mark Duhig, Central North Island Regional Manager, ASB.

“As a Bank, we’re well known as the first in Australasia to offer internet banking and we continue to push the envelope to provide great customer friendly technology. But sometimes you just want to sit down and have a chat. If we don’t have the technical staff you need on site, you can access them through video conferencing allowing customers to access ASB specialists throughout the country. In the future you will be able to discuss things like share portfolios, investments even cover your forward foreign exchange – face to face.”

Through the self service lobby, customers will be able to access 24/7 banking, and bank when it suits their schedule. Branch features include a time-saving coin-counting machine, particularly useful for the small business market, a change machine and fast deposit where customers can deposit funds out of hours and ATM facilities.

The branch will be managed by Robyn Chadwick, who will be supported by 3 other staff, and will be open Monday to Friday from 9.00am to 4.30pm.

Business Banking is also a major focus at ASB Greerton through a dedicated area for business managers to look after the extensive client network they have developed in this area.

“Our customers expect one step ahead service and they can now also experience this from the ASB Greerton retail branch,” Says Mr Duhig.
