TAUPO

The level of Lake Taupo is still extremely low despite recent rain.

Lake Taupo services far more than just supplying water to the Taupo District so we all need to be wise about water consumption.

With the onset of autumn there may be a sense that the water crisis is over. However a lot of rain is needed before the lake level will return to normal.

To reduce your water use, think twice before running a bath. Baths use almost twice as much water as an average shower.
