AC Baths support Foodbank with 'Plunge for a Can' promotion

With winter approaching, the AC Baths are running a special promotion to support the Taupo Foodbank – ‘Plunge for a Can’.

On Thursday 8 May, 6am – 9pm, visitors to the AC Baths can bring along a can of food in exchange for free entry into the facility.

Concession holders are also encouraged to bring along a can or item as they swipe their card for entry, to support the cause.

AC Baths Manager, Virginia Munro said that this is a great way for the facility to assist a local community organisation. “As a community facility, we see it as part of our role to get behind community volunteers.”

“With winter upon us, this is something that we can do to help the Foodbank top up their stocks,” she said.

Suggested items include cans of spaghetti, baked beans, soup, stew, canned fish, canned vegetables, biscuits, toilet paper, milo, coffee, tea, sugar, pasta, rice, shampoo, conditioner and toothpaste.
