Second Group Manager appointed at Franklin District Council

Franklin District Council, CEO, Sally Davis announced today that Ian Alexander has been appointed Group Manager, Community Facilities in the new senior management team at Council. In this position Ian will be responsible for all of Council’s property and parks related activities, emergency management and special projects like town centre upgrades.

When announcing the appointment, Sally said “I am delighted to have Ian on board in this new role. He has served Council well in a variety of roles over the past 10 years, most recently as Director of Operations and Services. The positions Ian has held include: Property and Risk Manager, Team Leader Assets and Operations, Civil Defence Local Controller and Deputy Chief Rural Fire Officer, as well as many regional positions. Ian has great qualifications and is passionate about this community. I am confident he will continue this high level of commitment in the future.”
