Appointment of Group Manager Environmental Services completes senior management team at FDC

Sally Davis, Franklin District Council CEO, announced today that she has appointed James Jefferson to be Group Manager Environmental Services at Franklin District Council. James comes from Tauranga, where he is currently the Council’s Environmental Compliance and Monitoring Manager.


Sally said “James has a varied and interesting background, having worked as District Collections Manager for the Courts in the Rotorua/Taupo region, as well as 14 years in a variety of roles with the NZ Police.”


“He has considerable experience in the range of regulatory functions of Councils, and has recently specialised in anti-graffiti and Safer Communities initiatives. He particularly enjoys working with external stakeholders and customers and has a passion for influencing positive change in response to customer feedback.”


“I am sure that the range of experience that James will bring to this role will make a real difference to the quality of the services we provide to the citizens of Franklin District.”


James says “I am very excited about joining Franklin District Council and broadening my experience into the resource management functions. My family and I will be moving to the District and I will take up this new role in mid July.”


All appointments to the Senior Management Team for Franklin District Council have now been made. When everyone is on board, the team will consist of:
