Southern - Fatal Crash

Incident Type: Fatal Crash
Southland Police are investigating a fatal crash on State Highway 90 between Crookston and Edievale, which is 30 minutes north - east of Gore.
The crash is believed to have occurred between 3am and 6am this morning when the vehicle has run off the road and hit a fence. It is not known at this stage whether any other vehicles were involved.
The vehicle, a 1990 Nissan Primera was extensively damaged by fire.
There are two deceased in the vehicle.
Police are still at the scene and the road has been reduced to one lane.
