As part of its on-going commitment to actively seek public opinion and involvement, Waitaki District Council is to conduct a satisfaction survey of 400 residents over the coming week.

The survey will help identify areas where Council performance can be improved and also identify services that are performing well. The survey is being carried out by Pulse Outsource, an independent Oamaru based contact centre.

Residents living in all wards in the District will be telephoned, using a random selection method, and asked their opinions on a range of Council services and activities. The survey selection methods are designed to provide a sample that is representative of the demographics of people living in the Waitaki District.

Strategy Group Manager, Richard Mabon, said, “Every year we carry out a resident satisfaction survey. This information helps us identify which services are not meeting residents’ expectations and we then look at how we can improve these services. I would encourage residents who have the opportunity to take part in this important survey to do so. ”
