Positive Ageing Forums are always well attended in Stratford, with informative presentations and lively conversations.

The next Positive Ageing Forum will be held on 11 June 2008, and has a changed format. This time, ten people from various health-related organisations have agreed to attend and form a panel. They will introduce themselves, then be available for questions about the future of health services in Stratford.

Speakers include Brian Jeffares (Stratford Health Trust), Andrew Brock (Peak Health Taranaki), Judy Drummond (District Nurse), Sandra Boardman (District Health Board) and Peter McDonald (Taranaki Hospice).

This format is a first for the Positive Ageing group, and its success relies on questions from the older community being written and delivered prior to Friday 6 June. Pauline James at the Stratford District Council is collecting the written questions.

The forum starts with morning tea at 9.50am on 11 June 2008, at the Stratford War Memorial Centre.
