Green Party MP Nandor Tanczos valedictory speech and Green Party Co-Leader Russel Norman’s maiden speech have been scheduled for the upcoming fortnight.

Nandor Tanczos has been one of New Zealand’s most high-profile MPs, since he entered parliament nine years ago. His presence at parliament will be greatly missed by his colleagues, although we look forward to visiting him in his garden in Ngaruawahia.

Nandor’s valedictory speech is scheduled for Thursday, the 26th of June at 5.30pm.

Every cloud has a silver lining though, and the Green Party are excited to have their Co-Leader, Dr Russel Norman, join the other five Green Party MPs in Parliament.

Russel’s swearing in will occur after 2pm on Tuesday 1 July, and his maiden speech is scheduled for 5.30 pm.

For those not based in Wellington but would like to watch the speeches, parliament is broadcast online at www.parliament.nz, and through the Sky Television and Freeview networks. All the speeches will be available online through the Green Party website.
