Will the Big Rigs wake up Parliament? ....We all to Support them!
Exposing Unacceptable Financial Activities (EUFA) fully understands why the Transport Operators have been “compelled to have recourse as a last resort, to rebellion” against the tyrannous actions of Parliament.
It has been reported that protests in all major centers are planned with the BIG RIGS heading down the centre of towns this Friday. At least 1000 truckies will head into Queen Street from 7.30 onwards.
The trucking companies, many owner drivers, are just another group of victims who have to take the hit at the hands of a roughshod government. Each week in New Zealand there are protests from one sector of the community to another and this is because of the desperation people are feeling standing up for ‘enough’ being ‘enough’.
Talk back callers, who have never called a radio station before are calling in desperation, wanting to be heard – no matter what walk of life New Zealanders are in, the chips are down and it didn’t happen over night. The warnings are in the writings of the general public , the action groups and the business sector but each group is pinged off by the Government, scoffed at and ridiculed.
Suzanne Edmonds Coordinator of EUFA said from Auckland “New Zealanders need collective protest and with Big Rigs blocking the paths we all should go with them and wave our banners in support of the grotesque attitude of the ‘bees in the hive’ who produce the ‘honey’ only for themselves. All politicians should wake up and listen to the Truckies message and why they are taking this action - like other groups they are at their wits end.
While New Zealanders have been subjected to multi billion dollar pillaging of their savings at the hands of a corrupt finance industry and lack of governance, there has been a total refusal across Parliament to accept that the global financial melt down would affect NZ. They have blamed the investors for being greedy, stupid and naïve, but now the crash is here they have become desperate to find enough cash to cover up the truth. What will the Governments spin be on this one?
It now appears that Government can cover up the economic folly by bumping up taxes such as road user charges.
Many EUFA members support the Truckies stand for justice. The fact remains that if the Parliament had upheld its duty to uphold the rule of law and police a corrupt finance and investment industry that billions of dollars would not have been lost to New Zealand’s economy, the Government would not have needed to rob Peter to pay Paul.
