Ellerslie Flower Show tickets go on sale

Tickets for the South Island’s hottest new annual event – the Ellerslie International Flower Show – went on sale this morning (21 July).

Interest in ticket sales from throughout New Zealand and internationally has been so high that the early release of these will enable people to begin planning now for their trip to Christchurch in March 2009 for this prestigious garden show, says Christchurch Mayor Bob Parker.

“Those who purchase tickets early – before 15 February 2009 – will make a 20% saving on the full ticket price.”

The Early Bird Special is $28. Ticket prices after 15 February 2009 will be $35.

“There are special senior citizen prices of $24 and group discounts for 20 or more of $22 for tickets purchased before 15 February 2009.”

With the City Council having purchased the Show, Christchurch ratepayers and residents will be offered a special ticket price of $22. This will be available throughout September 2008.

“This special Christchurch ratepayer/resident offer recognises that Ellerslie is their garden show. Details of this special offer will be advertised in newspapers, local libraries and service centres.”
