Elderly Couple face eviction even though they are allegedly victims of fraud
Yesterday an elderly couple in Taupo had a PLA notice served on them by Auckland law firm, Sanderson and Weir, the same law firm who served the PLA notice at the bedside of a 90 year old. They act for Challenger mortgages who were lenders in the Blue Chip scam.
The Property Law Act notice ( PLA) is bound by the bill of rights act to comply with natural justice. In this and other cases the act is being breached when it is obvious a crime has been committed. The PLA cannot be invoked while the SFO are investigating.
Gray Eatwell visited the devastated couple in their home in Taupo today and sighted their documents and said “I have no doubt the documents have been tampered with – they are the same as all the other documents we have seen”
Coordinator Suzanne Edmonds said this afternoon “These overseas companies are instructing the lawyers and are ignoring our correspondence. Challenger and Sanderson and Weir have ignored the Minister of Commerce’s public plea, made when the 90 year old lady was served a PLA notice. The Minister has ignored EUFA who represent thousands of New Zealanders suffering from breaches of the law.
It will take a tragedy and an embarrassment to government before we get any action, like that case of the woman’s power that was cut!
