PLA notices served on several elderly
Call to Community organisations to get behind EUFA.
A couple in their mid eighties were served a PLA notice today. Reportedly the server has served 30 PLA notices in Tauranga in recent days.
The elderly couple who contacted EUFA today are absolutely distraught and asked Suzanne Edmonds if they were behind in payments.
Coordinator of EUFA Suzanne Edmonds said this evening “The stress on this couple has affected the way they are coping, as BlueChip promised to make the payments they are totally confused at what is happening to them” Mrs Edmonds went on to say. “ We warned the Minister of Commerce in March that by August this would be happening and she has done nothing to prevent it”
EUFA are publicly appealing to Community organisations and service groups to step up and unite and assist EUFA in calling on the Government for immediate intervention. A call for a freeze on recovery action, while an investigation is taking place by the Serious Fraud Office is essential to prevent tragedy.
EUFA are calling all community organisations and service groups to come together and meet in Tauranga, with urgency. EUFA will convene a meeting for next Thursday or Friday.
