Taupo Public Forum next week

Due to public demand, the Taupo-Kaingaroa/Mangakino-Pouakani (T/K-M/P) Committee, the Committee responsible for the District’s northern rating area, is holding a public forum next Wednesday.

The forum will provide residents and ratepayers an opportunity to raise matters of concern and interest with representatives of their Council, who are there to advocate for local needs.

Chairman of T/K-M/P, Kathryn Uvhagen says for several years people have asked for a resurrection of public forums where people can air their views. “We are responding to those requests and if the forum works well we will look at repeating it in the future. We appreciate and value the communities’ feedback and suggestions.”

The forum is being held on Wednesday 3 September at 5.15pm at the Great Lake Centre. Light refreshments will be served.
